This past weekend we went exploring in Massacre Rock State Park and had the best time following the trail along the river. I am so excited to go back this summer and rent a canoe to get out on the river together. The weather for our exploring was perfect and we saw quite a few rabbits, lizards and birds.
Now that spring is in full swing and summer is on the way, I am looking forward to getting out hiking and exploring as often as possible – both around Pocatello and in the surrounding areas.
This weekend we also went to the first farmer’s market of the season and bought some delicious homemade sausages – chorizo, sweet italian, breakfast patties and an apple with chicken. After the farmer’s market we grabbed breakfast before heading to the state park. That night we went to a friend’s house for drinks and video games. It was a fun Saturday!
Sunday we slept in, cleaned the apartment, did our weekly grocery shopping and got prepared for this week. We made burgers, slaw & fries for dinner while watching Draft Day – it was a perfect way to spend a Sunday evening before catching Game of Thrones.
I can’t believe it is the end of the semester and that William’s first year of teaching is over. This past year seems to have absolutely flown by! I am excited that William and I get to spend this summer together on our multitude of adventures – I’m sure I’ll be writing a post the first week of the semester in August wondering where the summer went.
