This weekend was pretty perfect as far as weekends go.
Friday night was spent snuggled on the couch with my husband and our dog watching a movie.
Saturday we woke up and took Mavis to the dog park, while also stopping at the Farmer’s Market (only 1 week left for the year!) to get homemade sausage from a favorite vendor. After we got home it was all about football – specifically the Alabama victory over Tennessee. We made salsa chicken in the crock-pot, had chips and guacamole and just enjoyed each other’s presence. Oh, and of course William enjoyed his Alabama victory cigar!
Today was spent cleaning, making pork loin in the crock-pot and watching NFL football. It was sad to see my Steelers lose, but I may actually win this week in Fantasy! We also had a sweet friend and her son over for the first half of the Jets game. Mavis was so sweet with him too – just wanted to play and kiss him, even when he wasn’t so into it. We do need to work on her jumping on people though… it will come as she grows up – she’s still not one yet, even if she is 65 pounds!
Now, we have laundry and the dishwasher going, a cozy candle burning and Monster’s University on TV.
Easy, simple and filled with my family – a perfect weekend in my eyes!
